Become a PADI Open Water Diver with Ocean Sports in 3 easy steps!
1) PADI eLearning
Start your training at home with this online program. The eLearning course consists of 5 online modules that prep you for pool and open water training. Through a combination of videos, quizzes and a final exam, you'll learn about the excitement, basic principles, safety and gear for scuba diving and get ready to jump in the water.
Cost: $227.00 + tax
Approximate Time: 10 hours
2) Class & Pool Training
Join one of our classes this spring and learn hands-on scuba skills in the water. Program includes a 3 hour session on Saturday at Ocean Sports (10133 82 Ave NW) with your PADI instructor and classmates, where you'll try on gear, go through a skills and safety briefing, and answer any questions you had from eLearning.
Jump in the water for 2 Sunday morning pool sessions (4 hours each) where you'll master the practical skills you learned online and in the class. You must attend all 3 dates to complete this portion. Pool sessions take place at the Kinsmen Pool (2001 Oak Street) in Sherwood Park. Registration is done through Strathcona County. Give us a call at 780-432-1904 if you have any more questions.
Once you register, we will get you started on PADI e-learning and send you the required paperwork (medical, liability release) to complete prior to starting the course.
Due to safety/Covid-19 considerations, space is limited. ALL of our staff and PADI Pro's are fully vaccinated for everyone's safety and comfort.
