Become a PADI Open Water Diver with Ocean Sports in 3 easy steps!
1) PADI eLearning
Start your training at home with this online program. The eLearning course consists of 5 online modules that prep you for pool and open water training. Through a combination of videos, quizzes and a final exam, you'll learn about the excitement, basic principles, safety and gear for scuba diving and get ready to jump in the water.
Cost: $244 (PADI eLearning course) + $36 materials (slate & logbook available in-store) = $280 + GST
2) Class & Pool Training (Ocean Sports & Kinsmen Sherwood Park)
Join one of our classes this fall and learn hands-on scuba skills in the water. Program includes a 4 hour session on Saturday at Ocean Sports (9833 63 Ave NW) with your PADI instructor and classmates, where you'll try on gear, go through a skills and safety briefing, and answer any questions you had from eLearning.
Jump in the water for 3 Sunday evening pool sessions (3 hours each) or 2 days on a weekend for morning pool sessions (4 hours each) where you'll master the practical skills you learned online and in the class. You must attend all pool dates listed to complete this portion. Pool sessions take place at the Kinsmen Pool (2001 Oak Street) in Sherwood Park.

3) Open Water Training (4 Dives)
Finish your certification with 4 open water dives in the ocean on your warm water holiday through any PADI Dive Centre worldwide, or with Ocean Sports locally (Edmonton-area) between June and October (weather-permitting).
Cost: $250 + tax through Ocean Sports or Cost TBD through PADI dive resorts worldwide with the referral program.
Time Required: 4 dives completed over 2 days
